Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 3 Announced

Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 3 was officially announced, along with a commemorative message from the author Yuri Kitayama.

“Congratulations on the production of the TV anime Seirei Gensouki 3! ‘What about Season 3?’ ‘Season 3?’ The reason a third season has been decided is thanks to all the fans in Japan and overseas who continued to send their passionate support even after Season 2 ended. In Season 1, Rio swore revenge. In Season 2, Rio was reunited with the person he sought revenge against. However, by Rio’s side are also his mentor Celia and Miharu, his childhood friend whom he loved in his previous life… His previous life and his current life. The happiness he has beside him now, and the happiness from those days that he can no longer grasp. What will Rio try to reach for? Or perhaps, what will he try to distance himself from? Thinking about that, the theme I chose for the original story at the time was, ‘It is incredibly important to put your feelings into words and communicate them.’ Because if you do not communicate them, you are simply placing the cost of leaving those feelings unspoken onto the other person. That cost cannot be seen. But it definitely accumulates within the other person. If it keeps building up, I think it becomes an enormous source of stress. TMS Entertainment returned to animate the sequel, which premiere on October 7, 2024. The main staff included Osamu Yamasaki as the director and in charge of the series composition, Kyoko Yufu as the character designer and also chief animation director, and Yasuyuki Yamazaki in charge of the music.

Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles is a Japanese light novel series written by Yuri Kitayama with illustrations by RIV. It was serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from February 2014 to October 2020, while Hobby Japan started publishing the series in October 2015.
