Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! has revealed a new collaboration poster visual with Toyohashi City in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, the real-world setting of the series.
The new visual features the four members of the literature club walking along Toyohashi Station’s main street after school. It’s part of the ongoing collaboration between the anime and Toyohashi, promoting the city as a location from the everyday lives of the characters.
As part of the collaboration, Toyohashi City will also host a Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! talk stage during the Toyohashi Festival 2026. The event will take place at on October 31, with Shuichiro Umeda (Kazuhiko Nukumizu), Hikaru Tono (Anna Yanami), Shion Wakayama (Lemon Yakishio), Momoka Terasawa (Chika Komari), Minami Tanaka (Kaju Nukumizu) and Akira Sekine (Asami Gondo) scheduled to appear.
Admission to the talk stage will be free, but advance registration is required. Applications will open on October 1 and close on October 9, with attendees selected by lottery if demand exceeds capacity.
Too Many Losing Heroines (Makeine) Season 2 anime revealed , as announced in a trailer. The announcement was made in April this year at a special event attended by the main voice cast.
Takibi Amamori began the Too Many Losing Heroines light novel in July 2021, with nine volumes and two short story collections published as of July 2026. The novel features illustrations by Imigimuru. There is also a manga adaptation by Itachi. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga.
The first season of the Too Many Losing Heroines anime ran for a total 12 episodes from July to September 2024. Shoitaro Kitamura directed it at studio A-1 Pictures, with Tetsuya Kawakami as the character designer and Masahiro Yokotani on the series composition. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.
The story follows Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a highschool student who is (un)fortunate to meet numerous adorable ‘losing heroines’ and witnesses their rejections. Although he tries to stay out of it, he never really succeeds and this leads to some very interesting relationships and developments.

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines also won the 2024 Best New Anime of the Year title, placing third overall behind The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
